So fall all I've nabbed is Trine 2. I either have everything else or I'm not too interested. Or i'm a cheap sunovabitch.

The act of buying a game is because the person
wants to play the game.
There are ways to play the game for free which I'm sure you're well aware of.
Therefore your argument is invalid.

The LA Noire DLC is more LA Noire, but the cases are very good,
especially Nicholson Electroplating.
Cool. Bought it.

Okay, I caved and spent $10 on the Fallout: New Vegas DLC instead of the Thief: DS/GTA4 combo I was originally planning on. My first Steam purchases ever, woo!
That said I'm still considering getting my first choice too. Also, despite not being a fantasy genre fan, Skyrim seems awfully tempting.

Checking on Steam Summer Sales every day has brought to my attention that indie game developers primarily mass produce trippy LSD-inspired action platformers. I've seen a couple indie games that aren't platformers that look kind of interesting, but they still look like they're trying REALLY HARD to be platformers anyway.
Oh wait, I forgot. There's also the TOWER DEFENSE category. Indie games are 60% platformer, 35% tower defense, and 5% everything else. I assume it's because the development time behind anything else is a lot longer, but flooding the market with a billion games of the same genres because you don't want to invest a lot of time into your big payday gets old, fast.

There are probably more indie twin-stick shooters than anything.

Got Arx Fatalis when it was on sale, anyone around to give me the run-down on what the good mods/patches/etc. are for a first timer?
Jason Moyer on 20/7/2012 at 07:27
I haven't tried Arx Libertatis yet, so I dunno what it changes exactly, but that's the only significant mod/patch I can think of. I'd just play it vanilla, but do it after a reboot because there's a glitch that causes the engine to have timing issues for some reason if your system has significant uptime.

The focus of (
http://arx-libertatis.org/) Arx Libertatis is cross-platform support and bug-fixing, so in fact you quite likely do want to use it. Or at least try it.
