There are.. sales within sales? I didn't realise.
Still, I played the hell out of Morrowind and Oblivion so I'm reasonably confident I'll that get £23 worth of enjoyment out of Skyrim.

Picked up KOTOR 1($4.95) and The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition ($5.98). Would have grabbed Force Unleashed 2 but my debit card ran out of cash (since I wasn't expecting the summer sale to start this week).
The id bundle has alot of games that interest me.

How is Chaser and Chrome, I heard good things in the past, but both look kind of generic run-n-gun action with some inventory management thrown in for the kicks. Is the combat fairly tactical (i.e. stalker), or arcady (i.e. HalfLife?)

Chaser is very very run and gun, at least to begin with. I've only played like three levels so far though, and one of those was a forced stealth mission, so there IS stealth...but yeah: forced stealth...the worst kind of stealth.
Also, holy fucking shit does it have long cutscenes.

If you go to (
www.steamgamesales.com) you can sort by discount %. I wouldn't even consider buying anything less than 66-75% off unless it's on a daily deal or it's the last day of the sale.
Some of the 75%-off stuff I've been considering includes Call Of Juarez, Blades Of Time, and Deep Black.

If anyone's found any nice non-daily deals amongst the spam please post them here!
(
http://store.steampowered.com//app/207320) Ys: the Oath in Felghana is $5. (normally $15). I highly recommend it.

I have the PSP port. Is the PC version that much of an "upgrade"?
EDIT: PSP version has voice acting and runs at 30fps; PC version has high res graphics (duh) and runs at 60fps.
Zerker on 13/7/2012 at 20:55
Not really. It's technically older and doesn't have double-boost or voice acting. Other than that, it's identical. That said, it'll probably get 60 fps on any PC made in the last decade and can run at far higher resolutions than the PSP screen.
EvaUnit02 on 13/7/2012 at 21:04
Does it support 1920x1080? (Most Japanese PC games I've played are locked at ancient shit like 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768... but they have mostly been visual novels.)
Is there a fan patch to add the PSP voice acting?

Yeah, I picked up a bargain earlier. But then it was even more of a bargain 2 hours later. Curses.
Still, I guess we both paid a price we were willing to pay for something we really wanted, so hey.
