Made my biggest purchase so far in the sale, Max Payne (dearest of all my friends) 3. Debating with myself wether to dive into it right away or wait until I have my big game of the moment Dragon's Dogma out of the way.
Also bought Crash Time 3. Al B gifted me Crash Time 2 in the secret santa thing last christmas and I found it to be a great driving game, regretably saddled with poor writing and terrible mission-design. But it looked good and the car handling was very good, hoping for the same from part 3.
edit: also bought:
Dead Island: Ryder White DLC
Frozen Synapse: Red DLC
Jedi Knight - Mysteries of the Sith (I loved JK, but when this expansion came out a decade and a half ago it seemed a bit overpriced for something that was supposedly ONLY FIVE HOURS LONG(!). Well, now that it's 1,49€ I guess it's finally about time I played it. :) )

Plus randomly generated levels, plus huge replayability, plus you don't play as some gay-ass elf trying to save a generic fantasy world from destruction by Dr. Evil Mcbadson
But you have to put up with Ed McMillen shoving over-used memes in your face. "PILLS HERE"

I randomly loaded up Steam, being somewhat unaware of the sales and ended up buying stuff. The Alan Wake Franchise, From Dust, and the GTA bundle as I managed to completely miss GTA IV. One could get a bit carried away...

Sounds like I really need to check out Zelda then, sounds fun.
Start with Ocarina of Time, that's the easiest one to get into. There's also Link to the Past (which OoT is just a rehash of) but I personally hate that game so I won't recommend it.

The only Zelda I've played is a bit of Wind Waker on an emulator, but only the first 2 hours or so before some glitch made it impossible to continue iirc.
Anyway, on topic: Reeeeeeeeeeenegade Muthafuckin Oooooooooooooooops!

Having bought Anno 2070 in the sale, it's proven to be a bigger time sink than Civilisation, and that's saying something. One of those "It's what time?" games for sure. It's intelligent and complex but with a decent learning curve. And so much to accomplish. I may have to delete it.
The AI even started pointing out that maybe I should take a break when I'd been playing for 6 hours straight (although it's cleverly done and wasn't so in-your-face as to be annoying)

Good luck finding a WW physical copy, unfortunately. They're relatively rare to find even used. Luckily the Wii will take it and the Wii has a good track record with GC discs that might've been knocked around a bit.
The GC version of Twilight Princess by contrast is quite easy to find in the original shrinkwrap.

Binding of Isaac is a Zelda clone in exactly the same way that Zelda is a Berserk Clone.

I recall getting that feeling when playing the demo and decided it would be a bad idea to actually buy it. However, I find that any decent game that draws one in can result in the "how did it get to be 2AM?" situation. Alan Wake did that to me last night. After it finished downloading at about 11pm I thought I'd just see what it was like and proceeded to rob myself of a few hours' sleep.

Yeah, Alan Wake is a solid game despite its flaws. American Nightmare seeks to mitigate those flaws and is a promising look at what AW2 might be like.
