Yup it's that time of year again.
And they had to go and change the style of it from the count downs of sales and times till the next one etc, to just a big long list of all the games on special. A list so long you'll give up scrolling after a few minutes.

This is where having a well-tended wishlist comes in handy.

The only things that have really jumped out at me are Flotilla and Crypt of the Necrodancer at $4.99 a pop. I was really hoping Dying Light would go to 75% off this sale, since it did 66% at the Autumn, but alas...
I'm still kind of tempted to pick up Planetary Annihilation: Titans, but at the same time it seems so dickish of them to go 70% off for Titans, but only 27% off the upgrade (I don't have the original, so it's not like I'd be getting screwed, but at the same time, seriously? Kickstarter backers and early adopters only save two bucks off of what somebody coming in new would pay?)

Generally, you won't find a price difference between the Autumn and Winter sales. Possibly because a 20-odd day gap between the two and a sudden plummet in prices would be unfair to those who bought stuff during the Autumn sale. Which begs the question why we need two sales in the first place, but well. Gaben moves in mysterious ways.

LINKY: (
http://store.steampowered.com/) (we need this, trust me)
Talos Principle, The Long Dark, and Satelite Reign are all just under €10 and I'm
kinda interested in them. But I also have more than enough games to play already.

Satellite Reign's great. I made the comparison before in the dedicated thread, but it's a lot like Dawn of War 2 in its combat. Just my opinion, but well worth it for a tenner.
Oh, and Kingdoms of Amalur for a fiver? If you've not already got it, get it!
That's a huge amount of game for that price.

Yeh the sale for me is pretty underwhelming. Witcher 3 at 50% off is the only thing which grabs me. I guess you get to the stage where you already own all the good older games you want anyway.

The better comparison would be Syndicate. Considering it's a spiritual successor to that game + was developed by many of the people who developed Syndicate Wars.
But yes, Satelite Reign is excellent. Play this if you haven't already.

Considering I bounced right off DoW2, that doesn't sound too good. You know what, I already have Shadowrun: Dragonthingy DC Something sitting unplayed in my Library. I'll just play that if I ever feel in the mood for some cyberpunky strategy gaming.

I'd recommend the collection which includes both pieces of content DLC, mostly since both of those are good but unfortunately not discounted as much.
