Grabbed Spore + Spore: Galactic adventures since it was the exact same price as Spore was by itself (9.99). Possible muckup on steams side. My gain :). Either way Spore is one game I've been meaning to have a go of at some point.

I am not exactly swimming in Benjamins this Christmas with 3 kids (one of whom still believes in Santa and thinks he's a millionaire), so I can't commit to the Secret Santa again this year. But, don't be surprised if a couple of you TTLG'ers get a gift in your Steam stockings from me. I have been looking at some of your wishlists and comparing them to the sales, so keep your lists up to date, and use that order-of-importance feature I use (highest desired titles first), and keep an eye on your Steam in-boxes.

Gunny, I'm not sure I'm following your logic. You're saying money is tight, that's cool, but then you're talking about sending out multiple gifts to multiple people. The point of the Secret Santa deal is that everyone gets a little sumtin sumtin but also that everyone doesn't go broke trying to buy multiple somethings for everyone else in the forums.
Consider climbing on board with us, but just a reminder, the deadline to commit is Monday.

I've suspected this for a while: When a new Daily Deal starts, the discount is modest and can take up to half an hour to reach its highest. If it's intentional then it's a nice little counter-strategy by Valve.

Man, that feels a bit like the GTA V stock market. Without the assassinations, though. As yet.

Does this really need to be explained? There's notable difference between buying a gift for a random picked from a lucky dip and buying for someone with whom you've had a genuine connection.

I'm just saying if he's opening up the wallet anyway, surely he can find another measly 5 bucks to join up with our little celebration. Then again, it's not my job to spend other people's money.
That would be a pretty kickass job though...

I'm gonna sit this one out until the New Years sale I think.

Is Papers Please worth playing if I've already played the demo? Is there more to it?
Neb on 21/12/2013 at 18:26
If you enjoyed the demo, then probably yes. Story mode tries to keep every day fresh with new events and another layer of bureaucracy.
