What I wouldn't give to see Thief made into a quality film. It could be fantastic if done correctly. I know it'll never happen but I know in my head how I would like to see it done. The overall story is so interesting. Regardless I love his voice and he was perfect as Garrett. The trailer looks good. I like movies like that. Both the Grumpy Old Men movies were great to watch. It will be interesting to see him in film and listen to see if there's a hint of Thief in it.

Stephen congrats to you if you're reading this (the possibility's there, right?).
It does sound kind of fanboy-ish, but I'd see the movie just because it has him in it.

It would amuse the hell out a' me if he played Benny, in 3 to 10 second snippets, as a running gag. The serious movie would play out, full of Thiefy atmosphere and dread. Occasionally, Garrett's activities would intersect with the guards (he sneaks by, or they realize something's gone missing, or someone's knocked out, or the villain's minions are wreaking havoc while Garrett struggles to thwart their efforts, etc.). A close up of Benny too drunk to do anything. A close up of Benny bumbling as he tries to do his job. Benny's conversations with another character, as Garrett sneaks by. Benny's conversation interrupted by chaos to comical effect. If it was done effectively, of course. Speaking for myself.:p
