(Move to community chat, if appropriate)
Anyone else seen this clip? (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7tgk5lE-xM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7tgk5lE-xM Listen to the narrator...
The accent is obviously different, but sounds like it just might be our very own Stephen Russell from the beloved Thief series to me. Just curious if anyone has more info on the source of the clip, credits, etc. Interesting style, either way.

Definitely not him. The voice sounds a bit like his, but is much younger.

Hey Gray, how've ya been?
Anyway...definitely not Stephen Russell but certainly very Russell-esque. This may have been how Stephen sounded when he was in his early twenties. I wonder how his son sounds when he talks?

One of these:
Beau Bridges, Colby Buzzell, Robert Duvall, Aaron Eckhart, Christopher Gorham, Joe Haldeman, Sangjoon Han, Ed Hrivnak, Justin Kirk, Yusef Komunyakaa, John Krasinski, Jack Lewis, Josh Lucas, John Mccary, Tim O'Brien, James Salter, Michael Strobl, Anthony Swofford, Blair Underwood
If it's Colby Buzzell reading his own story, that would make sense by itself, but he probably had to be coached, 'cause he doesn't sound like that outside the voice-booth.

Not him at all.

It sounds a bit similar to the Thief DP voice acting but there is a difference so yea it's not him.
But I reckon that Narrator can pass as him with some training.

No, it doesn't sound like Russell. I don't think it's raspy enough, first of all, and it's too (for lack of better word) soft. But it does remind me of Stephen Russell.
The video is very interesting and well-done, though.

Someone remembers me by first name, eh? Aww, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :p So busy with school (3D animation, baby), I shouldn't even be on here...
Yeah, I thought the same. I guess what had me suggest the possibility is the fact that Stephen Russell is, in fact, a voice actor :laff: (ergo, he can presumably change his voice, and for all we know, his "normal" voice sounds nothing like raspy Garrett). Of course it could be his twenty-something son as well. I just wanted to know if anyone else saw this or knew who did the voice-over.
I found it enjoyable, and even if it isn't remotely Mr. Russell, at least we know there's another Garrett walking around out there (if only we can recruit him for fan missions!).
