"I'd better find an antidote for this", he thought as he stalked the darkened corridors

Somewhere in the distance, an owl hooted.

A quiet voice spoke behind him. It was a voice Garrett had learned to hate and expect. He knew in an instance who it was.
"That antidote may not be necessary for you, Garrett."
"Basso.... what the hell are you doing here? Your servant girl not missing you enough?"
Basso the Boxman smiled. He was less scruffy than Garrett remembered, but he would still not be acceptable for a dinner with a lesser noble. His brown hair was tatted as ever, and his clothes were bedraggled and dirty. "I saw the necromancer take you, Garrett. I tried to warn you but that would have been pointless; he would have simply killed both of us. I followed you to this place, and believe me there was more than one watchman to sneak past."
"Never thought of you as much of a stealthy guy, Basso. Usually you'd just have me to do all your dirty work."
"Yes, I know, but this is different. For once, I can help you. I don't need to be the one waiting outside for the all-clear. I ...

Basso noticed Garrett's arm twitching.
"...What's wrong with your arm?"
"Just a mere side-effect," Garrett replied. He clasped his arm. "We should find an antidote quickly."
"I cleared a path on my way in. It isn't too far, but stay close; this place is a labyrinth of hallwa..."
Garrett could not contain his arm any longer. He shot out his hand and grasped Basso's neck firmly. "Garrett, what are you..." It was no use. Garrett's eye was completely black. Basso noticed fur starting to grow on Garrett's arms. With his remaining breath, Basso yelled out.
"Who's that over there?" Benny called out into the darkness. "Don't make me come find you!"
Garrett, or what was left of him, threw Basso against the wall and ran down the hallway at an incredible speed. Basso coughed. "I should pay the Necromancer a visit. See if I can't find that antidote Garrett was talking about.

"The Necromancer left me alone in a cell, presumably to go fetch a fourth potion, or something, to complete my transformation into a zombie to do his bidding," Garrett informed Basso. Basso barely heard him through the pain of his collapsing windpipe and growing shock at Garrett's change.
Elsewhere, Mr. Feiht was formulating a plan of his own.

"Well," Basso croaked, "I don't think either of us should face the Necromancer alone. We don't know what he can do, and he doesn't know I'm here. We need a plan, and quickly. Any ideas?"

"We can't rush things. He must have some sort of lair near the City; I doubt it's his tower seeing as though I've been in that place already and there's not much room for formulating large numbers of undead." Garrett was hard-pressed for ideas. The darkness was intense, and he could only just see the outline of Basso in front of him.
"I see...."
"Mind you there's always the Ha-"
"No way Garrett! No way! I saw enough of those bastards when I was rotting in Cragscleft." Basso's expression was one of fear; the Hammerites were not exactly in his good books.
"It's an emergency, Basso. The Hammers have been fighting the undead for years. And besides, have you got any better ideas?"
