Azal did a S&U series for Thief 2 which is similarly impressive ... although sadly the original site is down. But thankfully the TTLG posts are still available. (Edit: I can't see the screenshots, though! Is it just me? That'd be very bad news. I hope they got saved somewhere!)
Totally lost trace of those posts...:tsktsk:

One thing I managed to do in Bafford's was run around getting a bunch of guards chasing me. Then I ran out the side gate. Once they had all followed, I circled around, ran back inside and closed the gate. They stood there yelling at me for a while. Unfortunately one of the guards had a link to the gate and could open it. EEK! Time to start running again.

The crate stacking is marvellous, but that reminded me of something I'd heard before but never really understood.. the theory is that you can 'staircrate' up, up (and away). Basically, make a very high tower and by the looks of these pictures I'm more than assured that you can build the weirdest things with these, but.. how do you climb them? 'Cause whenever I've tried, the moment I attempt to mantle up the second crate, it gets pushed down by Garrett. Do I need to jump on each one, then? Someone, please clarify.

How is the create thing even possible? he must have used Garrett's flying ability in dromed. I mean, garrett can't stack crates like that on his own.:o Can he?
But cool nonetheless. =D

Wouldn't that be a bit meaningless?
It's possible with a lot of time and effort, and maybe the quicksave and quickload keys.

Stacking crates in itself is meaningless.
But I'm just trying to understand how it is possible. I mean, you can jump and place crates until a time, and even throw crates, but I can't see garrett making towers like that (unless ur in the stairs which i've done) without some trick up his sleeve. Although, I just realized, for that pool shot, he could be on the second floor and drop crates on the tower to continue it.
