Hello!
I have a pretty standard PC (win8.1, i5, nvidia gtx670, 8GB ram) which normally works great for most of my games. I recently started to play Thief FMs again and has from the start being plauged with a stange and frequent hdd stutter/lag (like its accessing data).
This happens pretty frequent (every15-20 seconds), the hdd makes a sound and the game freezes for a almost a second and then continues again.
I have a good framrate overall and have the games (TG/T2) patched with Tfix and Tafferpatcher.
Its like some data(textures?) isnt buffered correctly in the ram or vram, and forces the game to collect it directly from the hdd??(im speculating here...)
Are there some ini/config setting I overlooked?
Would be greatful if anyone can give me a hint :)

Never heard of this problem with Thief before. I doubt that it is a game problem. Have you tried checking your drive ? Copy it to a different drive (if you have one ).
You can put it on a flash drive too.
If it works fine on another drive then you know what the problem is. Other than that its probably a driver issue.
