Students, Parents and Teachers of TTLG, could use a wee bit of your help! - by Yakoob

So the small company I have been working for for the past two years has finally launched our website (yay \:D/), and we are in the testing phase, looking for people to give it a whirl and provide feedback. While any TTLGers are more than definitely welcome to sign up, what I wanted to ask you is if you area ware of any student/parent/teacher online communities and resources that may be good to contact regarding looking for testers.
I've been doing lots of googling, finding great sites like CollegeConfiential, The Student Room, JustUsParents, Chronicle etc. We are not gonna do a spam but contact the site owners/moderators first since we are not some scummy little company and have a legitimately good product. So if any of you know relevant forums/blogs/sites we could tap it into, it would be MUCH, MUCH appreciated.
Now, for the actual spiel of our site in case any of you are interested:

I don't know of any sites. But I do have some teachers in my family, they might know. I could ask them. Wish I could help, reading what is offered sounds great. My daughter sometimes suffers from anxiety while taking tests, she freezes! I wish you the best in finding more sites, and I hope it works!

I know a lot of PhD's trying to learn a broad spectrum of things (a lot of remedial maths, for instance - biologists trying to learn mechanics after, typically, an entire career of sums avoidance). So if you are interested in feedback from adult (hah, well, supposedly adult), highly motivated learners, I could shop it around. Hell, I could give it a shot myself - I'm still trying to learn algebra, calculus and frequency stuff (don't even know what that field is called - hilbert transforms etc). Only problem is, formal tests aren't exactly a large portion of research. How much is your companies method aimed at test-passing?
In fact, my lab is currently running a pedagogy journal club! Would you be interested in having a round-table of junior scientists reviewing your method for a couple of hours, then giving feedback? It would fit in pretty neatly.

Definitely would appreciate (I showed it to my sister who teaches linguistics and she thought it was quite nice). We are definitely planning to reach out to teachers, as those are usually first-in-line to identify struggling students and having an extra resource to give them is always goo.

Sounds like exactly the reason we built our program! If she is over 13 feel free to register her, the subscription is free while we are testing right now. Hope it proves helpful!

Definitely, please do, adults and professionals either studying for higher level test (GMAL / LSAT or more) or going back to school are part of our audience. In fact, we acknowledge those will probably end up being more interested than a typical college kid, as they take their studies more seriously.
As for as test-taking, the general Study skills cover things like effective note taking, reading, time scheduling, even cramming when you are in a pinch. We also have a whole separate section specifically aimed at test-taking anxiety and overcoming it. Our program is not subject-specific however, it deals with study skills and anxiety more holistically.
And do feel free to give it a shot too; as I said it costs you nothing at this time (we don't even ask for a credit card or anything like that :) ) Let me know what you think!

Oh crap.... I think you just found a massive hole in our system
Jokes aside, the program is structured to be as easily accessible as possible, with combination of text, videos, mentor stories, progress-tracking worksheets and even daily learning plans to assist. Of course, you can use as much of these as you want, or none at all, and you are free to jump around the chapters as you please. As one of our catchphrases goes - "learn only what you need, when you need it."
So far our feedback has been actually really positive, with many people surprised at the results they were getting, which is quite encouraging :D
