Happy Day of The Dead, Ducky!
Incidentally, I've just started learning Spanish with Duolingo, so I now know how to say el tortuga bebe leche! And I know why the Island of Tortuga is named so! :p
Mr.Duck on 2/11/2012 at 20:55
LA tortuga bebe leche.
The turtle drinks milk, eh? ;)

It's what they teach you!
Gender of nouns; I just can't remember them. There seems to be no reason for it. El gata, la gata, el perro, la perro? Who knows? El hombre, la mujer - that's the only one!

If the word ends in "a", it's a fair bet it's feminine, "o", masculine. (At least as I understand it. The only Spanish I know is "Bienvenidas a mi casa. Quieres tomar algo?" which I learned when a friend and her Columbian friend came to stay. That and some rude words.)
Anyway, happy Day of the Dead!

Here's what I know: Donde esta la zapateria? El honor se no mueve en el lado come los congrejos!

Finally got a sugar skull this year. I asked Duck a couple times to send me one, but he wasn't sure if he could send 'food' through the mail from Mexico. Love it.
Happy Day of the Dead, Duck! Even though you are in B.C.

Move to new place. ALL YOUR FESTIVALS ARE INVALID
gunsmoke on 5/11/2012 at 17:42
Not invalid, but certainly they aren't going to have celebrations there. The streets aren't going to be filled with people, vendors, parades, etc...
Kinda boring to celebrate something like this alone, thought that was obvious.
