Beware of total realism! In real life there are no chances to get jack-pot, so who will even know if you set it up or not?

Would it be possible to write a script to allow T2 archers to use Vantage Points like they do in T1?

I've heard there is a dromed command that can double the polygons you can see in game, is there a script that can make it work in a regular game? You could make more rooftop missions if the dark engine could be coaxed to do that!

What exactly do they do in T1? The archers will go there to fire if they are within a certain range, correct? I'm not sure, it might be possible to hack something in, but it probably wouldn't work as well as the proper ones did.

No. Doesn't work in Thief2.exe.

Would it be possible to create a specially hacked Thief2.exe file that enabled that feature along with a script?

It seems impossible to make ALL players fix their EXE (even if the file exist). DarkLoader can't handle EXEs.
I've read somewhere in the forums that somebody managed to wide poly limitation, but there was another limitation (cell-in-view count), and he could do nothing with that. Anyway, the answer is still 'No'.

Too bad-hopefully we'll get the source code someday, maybe then something can be done.

I have another question, I was playing Ruins of Origina recently and saw a big fish tank with creatures running around, it reminded me of a place I saw years ago in Gatlinburg that had a huge aquarium environment with tunnels at the bottom of the pool where you could look up at all the fish swimming around. I got a wild idea for a mission where a rich noble has something like that in his mansion. However when I experimented with an 8 sided airbrush and some flow brushes but the water doesn't look right depending on the angle. Could a script be made that enables flow brushes to work right regardless of angle?

That's more something to do with the rendering engine, not something object scripts can handle.
Why don't you use fogveyors to make the water surfaces instead?
Independent Thief on 23/10/2009 at 23:32
What's a fogveyor? I haven't heard of that object before.
