Dafydd, are you still looking for the rosary? It's on one of the tables in the lady's house, ground floor. Hope that helps.
*goes back to jump into the sewers mumbling something like "ok,checking every door with the lock picks doesn't open them if they're unlocked...*

Saw the hint about the
mechanist and workbench area
but I can't find that location at all!
What am I missing? Thanks!

Umm, that didn't help. I'm starting to get frustrated with this thing. Can someone be a little more specific as to its whereabouts?

I did look in there but found nothing,. There's another door inside but I can't open it. Is it behind that one? Thanks for the help.

@bobber
Examine every inch of the workbench in there. You might have to climb onto that thing to do that properly ;).

Conquer or divert the sewer spiders, and look where they stood!
I'm in agreement with P Forth on all the unpickable doors (great straightforward mission btw, P!). Don't forget that at least in many ways, all us taffers have an *immense* about of patience just to be playing this game, sitting through FM after FM at 2-8 hours a pop, striving to get the last bits of loot, perhaps even trying all 3 levels, and then maybe ghosting them afterwards if knockouts were your ploy before... etc etc etc. Something closer to reality (even in a world of lighted mushrooms, rope and element arrows, and electricity in medieval times (hehehe)) never hurts, and it wasn't all *that* many doors... Besides, they're in wide open spaces and basically in linear direction, not back in hidden crevices and around corners, where it would make it harder to keep track of which ones you tried.
Plus, what I found interesting was the added bit of unreality inherently attached to each realistically existing door, namely "what's behind it anyhow?" Three or four times through the level, I'd save then restart the game with LockCheat on, then open the doors. How much space behind them? It varied. Does the door disappear or not? Mostly it did. Was there actually some walkable space behind it? I think maybe once, don't remember. And the biggest trick about it was drawing one into complacency. Why else did someone come onto the forum and ask how to or if you can open up an unlocked sewer lid? Hehehe (me, also drawn in). And, same goes for the
one door leading to landlord's apartments - 30/month - some loot in there! Might be what someone's missing. Yup, I got to where I was just trying the lockpicks, and if no go, then moving on - forgetting to simply frob the door!
So, I saw it as a fine little trick by P Forth to keep us taffers on our toes by helping to obscure the basics... Plus, I thought there'd be a skeleton hanging from the brick wall behind one of those doors, or maybe that huge clown face... you know, another taste of reality... :) :) :) taff on! :laff: :thumb: --Crowemagnon, mon.

How long have I been playing?
