So I guess what I'm getting here, is that neither patch is really the best one. I guess if we mixed the patches or something?

Yer but then it's not clear cut always which will be better for a said image.
Wasn't ddfix looking for a way around this or something? To fix the tga problem or to allow import of a different file format? I can't exactly remember.
