I'd probably say the puppets from the cradle, though I didn't find them scary like a lot of ppl seem to. Must admit though, I loved the speech of the you-know-what's in the Lair...

And when you flashbomb them:

I liked the puppets best too. They were actually quite easy to kill on Normal. And the you-know-whats were scary at first, but after that... they were PRICELESSLY hilarious.

I thought the crew of the Abysmal Gale were the scariest - especially the one that sprang up in my face, because I didn't see it on the ground and trod on it. :o The you-know-whats didn't scare me at all.

Well, the guys in the Gale creeped me out since I didn't know i could hurt them, so I ghosted the whole thing(up 'till the end, where I saw the flashbomb tip on one of the load screens...).
My faves remain the puppets, tho. It feels so good to kill them(and their bodies stay for your enjoyment:ebil:).

In a situation out of the cradle, the puppets arent as bad as they seem inside, seeing as they got bags over their heads and all... So my fav is the hammer haunts for being scary.
