I know, fun ain't it? :cheeky:
Personally, I'm more of a "wait-and-see" kinda person.

you guys never played Front Mission, did you?

Of course not, because nobody noticed when one of the games got released in the US.

I've got Front Mission 3, but that's about it. Pretty neat mecha-based SRPG.
We still don't have FM5 for some reason, probably due to the above post...but is that because Square concentrates most of their marketing efforts on a series I need not name and shoves everything else by the wayside?
(Also, I remember reading about the existence of a "Front Mission Online", but I don't know much besides the title. Can't seem to find much info on it...)
Anyway, while I don't think they're going to butcher Supreme Commander 2 like everyone else seems to suggest, I still can't help but chuckle a bit at the comments.
(Finally, one more off-topic tidbit: I just realized that this is yet ANOTHER game that can be acronymed to "SC2". It doesn't help that the very same two letters and a number describe another unreleased, hotly-anticipated RTS in addition to the greatest space adventure and exploration game ever, a popular entry in a fighting game series, and a few other things.)
Back on topic: what's going to separate this game from its predecessor, publisher aside?

The first one was abbreviated to SC, which also caused some problems. That's why everyone always used SupCom.

The comments are just light-hearted jokes, you do realise? They aren't serious fears (at least mine weren't).
NAl hit the nail on the head:-

This being TTLG, some people try to make somewhat humorous comments based on the thread's topic, but that doesn't stop others taking said comments literally.

That's why I didn't take them seriously. Perhaps I should've tried to convey that a bit better.

It's amazing no one has mentioned guardian forces or card collecting mini-games yet.
Commander, I hear there is an extremely rare card in your sector. Secure it before the Aeon get their filthy hands on it. We can't lose another card battle to those lunatics!
