PC games in Europe and Australasia have come in DVD-esque keepcases for many, many years now. Boxes are largely a thing of the past.
EDIT: Sierra's Best Sellers budget line did indeed come DVD keepcases. I remembered that I own a few, including Homeworld 1 & 2.
