I played the game for the express purpose of finding the sword arm aug... It's just like the bow upgrade in Thief, you won't believe it until you find it yourself.

only way to get hold of them is by following the extremely long and silly procedure the developers dream up. I reckon that it must be created within the level once you've completed the tasks evil ION Storm set you. I think they're still feeling sadistic after nobody at all bought Daikatana and found an opportunity for revenge in making poor people quest all over the level trying to find it. But persevere, and you'll discover the truth about the Sword Arm Augmentation.
