I'm looking for playtesters to test drive the next version of the
System Shock Infinite mod, which is being expanded to support the characters by Ceamonks890, Bikerdude and Yandros - which join the cast of Phantasmagore and ShephardReborn. This beta version lacks one movie and the Readme, but is otherwise complete. So far, it has only been tested with the Steam version of SS2. Note that the archieve is to be extracted in its own folder, inside the \FMs\ folder, and consequently loaded in FMSel.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77839388/System%20Shock%20Infinite%202.0.jpgIntroduction* "System Shock Infinite" is the unofficial sequel to System Shock 2.
* The story starts off from the System Shock 2 climatic finale and continues in the Infinite continuity.
* Meet and interact with the Von Braun crew from the audio logs, and aid them in their quests.
Characters* Marie Delacroix, scientist, is your guide through the game and into Cyberspace.
* Anatoly Korenchkin, preacher, tempts you into joining the Many and sabotage Shodan's missions.
* Captain Diego, leader and friend, is among those in the Many that have yet to give in to Korenchkin's will.
* Lieutenant Shephard, soldier, is the resistance fighter tasked with hunting you down.
* "Goggles" too, the main character, is on a quest to restore his lost memories.
* Fully voiced by Phantasmagore, ShephardReborn, Ceamonks890, Bikerdude and Yandros.
Cyberspace* Cyberspace is back from System Shock 1, adapted to mimic the hack process of System Shock 2 in first person view.
* Every deck holds a hidden entry to an original Cyberspace level, while 3 more are featured in the extended finale.
* Fly at high speed to unlock cybermodules and info, avoiding ICE countermeasures to beat the memory blocks.
* Unique threats such as the explosive Tripwire Links, the tracking AI Signals, the Destroy Traps and the Memory Shards.
* Full soundtrack by Chicajo. Total playtime estimated: ~1 hour.
Storyline* The mod features multiple plotlines, played through hundreds of new events and videos during the campaign.
* You get to choose which ones actually happen, when you bring them back through a "tear in protoreality".
* Every tear brings specific changes to the Deck it's located in, for added replayability and customization.
* I.e. Marie's path saves the crew, and spawns friendly marines. Korenchkin's path spawns noxious eggs, rich with loot.
* Shephard's path brings you cybermodules and multiple hunting parties on your tracks!
* Choosing the same path through the entire game allows you to unlock their special ending.
Campaign* All campaign maps were modified to feature alternate routes, ambushes and different itemization.
* I.e. non-linear quests are favored over keyhunts; quest sequences can be broken too, if you can take on a big fight.
* Korenchkin's quests revolve around disrupting Shodan's objectives: easy, but you miss on the rewards.
* New encounters and enemy types, like the drone cyborgs, psionic echoes and Korenchkin's minions.
* Use Marie's powers to revive fallen allies in safehouses and free weapon caches from forcefields.
* The Body of the Many is among the maps that were changed the most: it is now a story intensive episode, with no platforming and more interactivity.
PSI Powers* You have 5 new psionic powers, courtesy of your companion Marie.
* They cost no cybermodules to be acquired, save for the psi tier they're in.
* Summon Marie to teleport back to safety, disable security, distract or attack the enemy.
* Marie can also revive fallen allies, or heal you both from damage, radiation and toxins.
Combat* Combat revolves around this concept: enemies have favorite and unfavorite damage types.
* Favorite deals big damage, unfavorite deals small damage and also stuns.
* Psionic damage is special, as it slows down targets and makes their stuns last longer.
* Experiment with electrocution, paralysis and topples before going for the kill: think of guns vs plasmids.
* I.e. you can slow a rumbler with psionics, topple it with explosives and then mash it down with a crystal shard.
* You can also score headshots for extra damage.
Endings* Complete different quests to unlock a variety of endings.
* Try completing all cyberspace levels. Or collect all tears of a certain kind. Or neither.
* Self-destruct the ship, or create a time paradox, or defeate Shodan early. How about never using a weapon trainer?
* The previous conditions stack! Complete up to 3 of these quests, and craft your own ending.
Extras* Check the "Extras" folder for additional customizations.
* 2015 Mode makes enemies receive double damage, for improved accessibility.
* English captions can be enabled for all in-game cinematics.
* The Codec Window can be resized to match 16:9, 4:3 and 16:10 aspect ratios.
Troubleshooting* If you are not using the Steam version of SS2, you need to run SS2Tool before you can use the mod.
* Save at bulkheads and Cyberspace entrances to prevent bugs.
