Not a bad mission.
I liked the village setting, hadn't seen that until then. Still, scale was a little tight, eh? Especially that cottage. I know they built them small, but what's small anymore (circa The Metal Age)?

I found lampfire to be exceedingly good. My only gripes were the hidden switches and the sleeping people who can see you.

My question for this custom made mission is: Where the crap is the key
for the lock on the cottage!!??
I've heard it is in the ceiling in a hammer
curch but which one????

It is in the Hammer Chapel with one Hammerite
guarding the entrance on the inside. The Chapel is in the Town Square not the dark tunnel. You have to rope arrow up to one of the beams near the ceiling.Don't remember which one,but up there look around and you will find a switch
that opens a secret room. I hope this helps you out,it's been awhile since I played that mission.

Namely, how do you open that lock on Garret's cottage? I read the walkthrough and it says the key is in a chest on the ceiling in the room with the floating body parts. Well, none of my keys will open any of those chests and the lockpicks don't work. So if the cottage key is in one of those chests, where is the key for the chests? I'm almost done with this mission which I found to be one of the better FMs and don't want to start a new mission until I finish this one. Thanks.

I don't think you're being ignored, people just don't recall the answer (may of us are at work, etc, and don't have access to the game from there). Patience

Or it could be that such help questions are more visible amd more readily answered in the spoiler forums... This mission is next on my agenda, so sorry I can't answer you yet.

The key is in the east upper wall of the Old Hammer Shrine. There is a hidden switch close to the ceiling that opens a door. Look in there. (I think that key opens the floating chests as well, but I'm not sure. I haven't played this for a very long time.)

Yes! I remember now. I pulled that switch but I couldn't find what it did. I'll go back to the church and find that door in the ceiling. Thanks a bunch.
