How can I get into the chapel that has at least three guards watching the door? I've tried using arrows, but they don't kill, and tried leading them away without success. Is there another way in? How do I get into the weapon outlet which doesn't seem to have a door that opens? I got lucky and got in Alerus House when I found a civilian in the dark alley with a key to the place.:sly:

By the window in height, while launching a rope arrow on the beam

Lady Jo is right, always think UP in this mission. There is a small chapel under renovation, not far from the main church. Rope arrow up and in the second floor window. Explore up by the ceiling very carefully, then go down below and look for a secret way out. You can get into the main church from there. It's much easier than the front doors.
There is a secret back door to the Alarus house, too. In a back alley, there are some boxes hiding a secret door into the basement.
To get into the Weapons shop, you also need to go up. There is an eave across the street that has a wooden underside. Shoot a rope arrow into the corner and jump over. I think you can also rope arrow up down the street by the clock and get over that way, though I've never done it.

Thanks, I thought there must be an easier way. I did finally manage to get in the front doors of the church and dispose of all but one guy in the back. I will go check out your suggestions now. I was looking up but I didn't see it.:)

I found the key in the small chapel and got the trapdoor open. There is a switch in the room at the end of the watery tunnel and I can hear a door open, but I can't figure out where.

I'm not sure which switch you're having problems figuring out. The one down in the room with the coffins open the trap door at the top of the ladder. That one's usually pretty obvious. The one that always fooled me was the one in the bedroom at the other side of the church. Is that the one you mean? If it is, then it opens and closes the same trap door that you came up into the office through, it's just a long way from the actual door. :)

No, it is the room that you enter near the library with the psychic's key. ----------Nevermind, I just needed to look behind me.

I've gone down the hole in the chimney. Was I supposed to find the sword first? I've jumped across the ledges and shot the mine with an arrow. It exploded and now the skulls are on the ceiling. I can't see anywhere to go, though I do see secret doors but I can't enter. Nothing up the stairs either.
Later...I got the secret doors and the chests open. Is there no way to dispose of the flaming hand guy?

I have got to the chapel through well on the central square (near the door of Alarus house). Jump in, swimm and you are in crypt with ladder to main chapel. If you swimm more at the end of tunnel is underwater space. Is it possible to get in ???
It is another well on the other side of square. There is a long underwater tunnel to another side of city. In the middle of tunnel there is a small hole to some room. Is it possible to get in ???
It's not easy mission. I have look everywhere and I have only 1 objective (antique dagger).

That small triangular opening goes to the Alarus house basement. If you look behind the barrels, you can see it but the barrels aren't moveable.
The gate at the end of the other tunnel requires the psychic's key, but you can get in from the other side via the street.
