Lampfire Hills is a great mission with alot of bugs. I remember some items (a book, a painting, and a door or two) that I frobbed, and then they just floated away. That would be a cool effect for a FM designer to use on purpose.
I loved the atmosphere and the architecture of this mission.
BTW, does anyone else think the Halloween atmosphere of the the village in Lampfire Hills is perfect for T1? I think if it were done in T2, it just wouldn't have the same effect.

I frobbed it and it worked fine, but then I tried to drop it (just to see if it would let me.. One word:
stackables! :D ) and the thing just started floating down until it disappeared through the floor. At first I thought it was somehow endowed with the magic of the fellow they were talking about in it.. You know, he was supposed to be an adept at levitation, so I figured.. Until the thing disappeared.. I think I enjoyed some of the atmosphere, but there was something that didn't make it feel believable as an actual village for me. Dunno, maybe it's just that I'm incredibly picky when it comes to believability/immersiveness. I've been known to stop playing and delete an FM in disgust if I come to a place where the designer (imo) 'screwed up' :p I have to agree with you on the Halloween atmosphere.. I don't think it would work well in T2 at all.. Maybe with some kind of mod. More people should make halloween-esque missions............. Not saying with all the undead of CC or CL but, um.. :laff:

I'm stuck how can i riddle this puzzle in undergroud wiyh stones and pressing
panels in the floor ??? i have no idea how to do this. Is there anywhere scroll
about solving this puzzle ???

The pressure plates do nothing but trigger fire arrows. The lever/switch you need to find is close to the corner of the room furthest away from where the arrows come from. You have been quite close to it when you first entered the room.

I am at the point where no one is left around the immediate village and I now have to
get a key from the fortune teller. I read a post that says I must slash one of the
murals on the wall. My problem is that I have no sword in my inventory. I went all over
the map again and the only swords I found are in the armory, but they are not frobable.
Where did you all get the usual inventory sword?

I'd go back and check out your house, where the mission begins. I'm pretty sure it's in there. You probably just missed seeing it.

Nightwalker, thanks for the tip. Although I went back to the house to look for the
sword I completely forgot about going up to the attic where the game started. I
could not open the box at that time because of no lockpicks. After I found the lockpicks I just went on my merry way to the town.

where is a companion to dagger-a jeweled sword
Nightwalker on 17/10/2002 at 16:09
It is in the underground area where the zombies walk and there are floating chests up by the ceiling. Go around behind the stairs and you'll see a large open space with some platforms down in the gap. You need to rope arrow across that space and look for the sword in the room on the far side.
