I think you have to slash that tapestry from the other side. You can use it as an alternate entry to the Temple, by going in that way and then up the other ladder. The tapestry is in the small chapel that is undergoing renovations. It's not far from the main Temple and you get in by rope arrowing up and climbing in a second storey window. (Make sure you search the ceiling area VERY carefully. There's something important in there that most people miss.)

Ok, new problem -- I got into the sewers, found the shelves, spent a very frustrating five minutes stacking the rubble so I could continue.
Now, the inscription on the floor says press the button for the king's tomb, and go straight ahead for the Keeper library. But straight ahead leads back to where I started in the sewers. :nono: Going down leads to a lovely fire-arrow trap (ooh, fun dodging arrows!). I can tell there's a secret door down there, but I can't find the button or anything to open it. Help?

In the room with all the boulders, where the fire arrows shoot at you, move some of the boulders (the ones in the end of the room where you come in, in the back left-hand corner, I think, though I'm not sure). There's a lever under one of them.

When i try to access the map, it quits to desktop. i have searched the forum and found that there was an old bug for this with his diary...but i have not had that problem

I just went and loaded it up. Mine doesn't quit to Windows, but it brings up a map that looks like it's from Thieves Guild. It's certainly not Autumn in Lampfire Hills! You really don't require a map to play this mission. It's not that large or complicated and it's quite fun to explore.

As I recall it's very close (maybe 20-30 feet) to where you go up some stairs that lead to the library. I think it's a pinkish steel door. Go through that and you should find yourself in a room with a hatch.
Lemme check though........back in a minute......
Yeah that's it. It's locked though so you'll have to find the key. I don't remember where you find it.
