I've installed T1 on vista, but the game freezes within about a minute, and only the sound continues. Another thread had a broken link to a fan-made patch, but this was for T2. How can I fix this?
note: I'm not running on dual core, but a low end laptop.

I'm using the XP SP2 compatibility settings. I'm not sure its patched, but the links at the Circle appear to be down. I'll be searching for more, hoping this will fix the problem.
edit: no luck. I found a 1.33 patch, but the game still freezes. To give you an idea, I can get to the second task in the keeper training, or the well in Baffords, but then the problem occurs.

Dark Project does that EXACT same thing to me too.
As soon I jump down Baffords well the game freezes but the sound continues.
Have no idea how to fix it, I've done the 1.33 patch, re-installed the game...

Ok. I figured it out. It was in the FAC after all :p Please don't laugh: It turns out I actually had a duel-core processor without even knowing it. I used these instructions to solve the problem. I can play fine now. Thanks.

Yeah, i was thinking... man, if you run single core for vista, i bet it runs slow!
Most laptops, if not all, have dual core now w/ vista. By the way.. another workaround for dual core: Do you know about ddfix all? There's a dualcore fix built into ddfix.

I'll doubt that ;) Running Vista on my P4 @4Ghz myself.
Just in case, here you can get the fix and all the info you need to:
