Think of it this way:
What's the most common use of '52' you know of?
Is the use you mean for that number world-wide? I mean isn't the number special in certain countries only by chance? :) Because right now, after few minutes of thinking, I still can't imagine what the number can represent. 12 hours, 12 months, but 52... hmmm.

hmmmmm...

All I can think of 52 is number of adjacent flat :)
If this is a measure of weight or something like that, we use decimal measurement in general, like grammes, meters etc., no pounds or miles. Just in a case if it's something related.

Well, it can't be the answer to life, the universe and everything, because that is 42.
So I'd have to go with how many weeks are there in one of those old calendars, the kind we used back in the 20th century. They had 12 months and 52 weeks IIRC. Thank god for modern advances in time keeping.

I'm curious as to why one of the best challenges in the FM has only had one mention so far (from Kaloian).
Has anyone else managed to get the Horn of Gades unaided?
Aided? How would you get that? I just stumbled across that room when exploring and did my little jump, reload bit a few times until I got the horn safely.

And this is the best / worst maze I ever encountered
You obviously never played Bard's Tale 2. Those Deathsnares are still unsurpassed. Imagine doing this maze in the dark with random spinners and teleports all the while being timed and entirely without the benefits of a quicksave/load function.
This was a fun maze. Did anyone else map out the entire thing with some graph paper? I used a few dropped items at the start to mark some of the rooms until I figured out where most of the directions led, then it was easy to check each room.
Would have been cool if you could shadow one of the skeletons to follow it to the temple though.

Did anyone find this by any chance.

Yep,
but it's beyond Erin's puzzle.
So is the aid to the Horn of Gades.
