I assume he meant you only QuickLit your mission. You should Objcast light it so that the terrain and objects throw proper shadows. You should also raise the ambient light setting to avoid the pitch black rooms. But that's all just a guess since I haven't played it...

Wow, I wasn't even aware that DromEd could do that. I'll definitely use those functions on my next one. I'm also taffing with the idea of creating a new, larger version of the Storm with more objectives etc.
I guess you have to start somewhere! Thanks everyone again for all your feedback!

If you didn't use obj cast lighting I highy recommed taking the time to relight the map and set the ambient light to a better value as well. Those of us who use dromed can do it fairly easliy but the average player can not. Best to spend a few minutes correcting things and re-submit the file so you work gets shown in the best light. (awful pun....yes I know!:o )

Indeed, you should fix those two things and update your mission to v1.1 so that players can enjoy it! :D

J_J here,
I've updated The Storm v1.0 to the Storm v1.1, and have submitted it.
I'm not sure exactly when it will be posted for download, but I don't think
it will be too long. Thank you for your input and advice. I hope you enjoy
my mission.
Good night!

That's great. An author gets respect for doing things like that. :thumb: I'll certainly download the new version.
New version is up already.

Now I just have to make sure my next one goes more smoothly.
I'll definitely have people test it first! I doubt I'll do the rain thing
again for quite a while though. I think the rain is one of the reasons
the map ended up so small. I just didn't want to worry about all the effects,
which were buggy at first. The sound kept cutting off, etc.
Take it easy!

I'll definitely play through again later on today. I'll look forward to your next mission. :)

Well, v. 1.1 is definitely going to take longer than the original - the loot is rather well hidden, and by 'rather' I mean 'fiendishly'. Got 1758 so far, missing 115. I could swear I've looked everywhere in this small FM.

If anyone wants hints, or straight up answers, just e-mail me at:
j_j_dayo@yahoo.com and I'll be happy to answer any questions
you may have. I guess this is the trouble with being a noob! You
don't know just how hard/easy to make it, nor if people will enjoy
it or just get annoyed by it:mad: I'm guessing this level of loot
hiding might have been too hard....ooops.
