I'm playing the fan mission "The Vigil" on expert. When the 4 people in the tomb started to walk towards me and the gate started to close I ran away instead of sneaking in. I did a search and someone hinted that it is impossible to finish the mission if you do this. Is this so? I sure can't find a way in.

I'm stuck there, after leaving Duke's tomb and climbing the stairs: to the left I can only reach a flooded passage that leads to a underground cavern with a devilman and some gold; to the right I enter the room with 3 switches (and a key), whose toggling does not seem to sort out any practical effect

I don't remember any difficulty in that area. Hmm, did you find the area in the shallow water with a hole in the floor that you can fall down into (in the water)? I also remember some bridge sort of near the monkey beast that falls out the middle or something. Sorry I'm not much help, it's been a while

Hi everyone, I know this FM is way old but I'm a late bloomer when it comes to games. I was stuck in Duke Creygan's tomb for awhile, but finally I got out. Basically I made a bunch of noise before the door sealed and the guards came back in. LOL. After reading some previous hints on how to get out I feel really stupid now. Now I don't know where to go. I tried to find a way inside that locked gate on the left side from where you start the mission. The guards won't open it even after you make a whole bunch of noise (Yes my attempted solutions to everything is to make noise). I have Creygan's journal,what do I do now? It was funny, I was so frustrated I started shooting my fire arrows everywhere, and I was in the room with those 3 statues and shot the floor, and then a piece of it moved so I used all of my fire arrows to move the floor away. Even after I went I was still stuck. Man I know I'm not very intuitive or insightful, so can someone give me some hints? I read you're supposed to find the next part in the cemetary, which I tried, but i can't find it. Please help!

You NEED to get locked inside the tomb. After the guards and family leave, read whatever is in there to read (which gives you the clue for the next bit), and use the two arrows left there to find a way out. You don't go out through the gate that you entered by.
The part you described with the floor partially opening is another objective, on Expert, I think. To open the floor, first you have to read the inscriptions on the bases of the statues, and then go explore the graveyard very carefully. To get started out there, look for something that seems out of place that you can pick up, then figure out what to do with it.

You have to stay trapped in the tomb, and then there are two certain statues that are susceptible to water and fire, if you know what I mean Inline Image:

I need some help with the fan mission The Vigil. After finding the duke's diary inside the crypt, how do you get out? I can't seem to find any way out.

You need to use a water arrow and a fire arrow. See if you can find some clues as to where to use them.

i don't know how to access the big gate what leads into the duke's tomb, also, i don't know how to access the gate to the ...... hm.. miner road or something like that. i hate to ask things like this, but it is not just right that you can't play trough the fm
just because of a silly little prob. so hlp!
