Yes, we're talking about the same thing. Do you want more specific help now?? If you do, read the spoiler, though it's not a total spoiler, just a slightly more pointed hint:
In the graveyard, you'll see a big rock. Now read the tombstone of the Courtesan that is close by. How did she die?? Re-create it. Then use the same logic to solve the other two.
This is a total spoiler:
Take the rock and through it through the courtesan's headstone. A ring will appear above it. Take it, then find the Treasurer's Headstone. It says "Gold is the water of life", so shoot the headstone with a water arrow and a purse appears. Take it and find the headstone of the Knight Champion, which says he was burned to death. Use a fire arrow on his headstone, pick up the item that appears, then go back inside and use each of the items that you found on the appropriate holder.
Ooh! That was a great hint! I get it! I didn't read the 2nd one yet. I don't think I will.
On a slightly different topic, I thought it looked cool how the thing appeared when I threw the rock. It was loud and made me jump, but it's all good!
Thanks a lot for the help:D.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Lord Edmund Entertains!" but so far "The Vigil" has been disappointing. The map is much too linear: about the only flexibility I've had so far is to enter the secound courtyard by falling out a window instead of using a key found inside a chapel.
Now I'm stuck... after the crypt room I wander through some sewers and get to a room with three different "switches" (two look like switches, one is a turn-valve). The only way to keep going appears to be through a certain portcullis which I cannot get open. No combination of switch use seems to work, and nothing in my inventory is helpful.
How do I get out of these sewers?
I've tried to find help from past topics, but cannot find any so I'm starting the new topic.
Thanks in advance!

Leave that room and wander through the sewers. Listen for the sound of rushing water. At that point, look around for a hole and go swimming. :)

Ah. Thank you very much.
That was the second time I was stuck just from lack of noticing a small passageway. (I didn't see when the statue-triggered doorway opened, and spent a lot of time trying to get further effects to happen from the second statue-trigger.) Sigh. Hunting for well-hidden doorways isn't why I play this game. And the mission stayed very linear until its conclusion. Oh well.

In Vigil, I am trying to solve the riddle with the three statues of the women by the graveyard, and I can't seem to get it right. This is what I THOUGHT would solve it:
I thought I could just fire a fire arrow at the warrior woman (that was right), then throw the boulder at the concubine (didn't do anything), and shoot a water arrow at the accountant woman (again did nothing).
I figured that this would be the way to do it from the clues in the graveyard. It didn't work - the floor moved a little after I
fired the fire arrow
, but then it wouldn't move anymore! :erm: Can someone help me?

You are close Sneaky1Kenobi
If I remember correctly you turn towards the entrance and on the entrance side of the tomb fire a water arrow at one of the statues and and fire arrow at the other
Ouzman, I think you are talking about how to find the entrance to the sewers from the Duke's tomb. The place I am talking about is the little room close to the graveyard with the three womens tombs. One has a warrior woman, one a concubine, and one an accountant. I am trying to solve that riddle. Any help for that one? :)

You're partly on the right track! You need to read the poems under each of the "holders", then head out to the graveyard. I'll just give you a hint first.
Look for the headstone of the concubine and read it. Then look around for something that seems out of place in the graveyard. You need to do something with it out there.
Spoiler-
Through the boulder through the headstone and a ring appears. That's what you use on the "holder" inside. Then find the headstone for the accountant (or whatever he was) and use a water arrow on the headstone, then a fire arrow on the headstone of the bodyguard (it's not exactly that, but something similar). Use the things that you get on the holders inside.
