I've read all the posts for the Vigil but I haven't seen anything that explains how to get out of the sewers. I'm in the cave with the ratman and all passages lead back to the room with the switches but nothing opens to allow me to continue. What am I missing?

Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but I've just got round to playing vigil on expert and have a few probs...

I think I have gone round the whole level, I've got enough loot and I have placed [SPOILER]the items from the graves onto the gargoyles who emit coloured smoke[/SPOILER] but what does this do?

And I can't find [SPOILER]Ambrose's tomb and medallion[/SPOILER]

Is it possible to open the [SPOILER]underwater gate beneath the hammer at the sewer controls[/SPOILER] and what do these[SPOILER]controls[/SPOILER] do?

Anyone remember? cheers!

I have done the crypt thing where i grab the diary and the ring after the funeral people leave - then I frantically ran out (after 25 tries) before the door clunks down forever........I read somewhere that I need to stay in and get out another way.....did I doom my game? Supposedly i need to stay in there to get somewhere else (across a particle bridge?) I'm not sure if i have a saved game from before I did all that.....i was so frustrated trying to get out on time......does anyone know? Is it possible to get back into the crypt??

ohboy.....i messed up.....unless there's another way back in there.....all my saves are after i got out.....
