imo, Transmarginal inhibition would be the applicable term; developed through Pavlov's research (not our Pavlov - the other one). And who of us haven't looked at a building inside or out and thought "that would be fun"

I can imagine a pretty straightforward test to see if a patient suffers from this disease: Set up a combat bot's cannon loading sound as the alarm tone in the morning and see how fast the person will be awake.

I heard a sound from the game Unreal (some metal gate/machine sound) few days ago somewhere in a film. I can tell, because I play Unreal so much.

In The Walking Dead, in one of the early Season 1 episodes (either 1 or 2, maybe 3), there is a scene where Lori goes into the woods for mushrooms, and my Thiefy ears heard something verryyy familiar.
You know that cicada-y sound effect in Thief? With that sort of droney wavering sound in the background? Hard to explain, but it brings to mind Constantines Mansion/Escape levels.
Yeh.. It was THAT! No kidding!!! Me and my husband just paused it quickly, looked at eachother and were like DUUUUUUDE! Whats wrong with us!? XD
Anyway, I will try and find that clip from Walking Dead.

Can't see the video. I'm not downloading that "bonzuna player", sounds shady. I can't see why it would be required while the beginning of the video with that green background actually seems to start without it.
Do you have any other link to that same video on a more reputable site (such as youtube or dailymotion for example) ?
