I'm not getting any video or beginning of video even. I watch a lot of things on daclips and have never had a problem with it.

While watching documentaries or regular films, I often hear familiar-sounding sounds that I've already heard in various games or other films. Some sound effects are just so popular, I guess... They never go away... :cool:
For instance, if anyone of you played the original
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stronghold_%282001_video_game%29) Stronghold series, you'll notice that the battle cry of a larger attacking group of soldiers in the game sounds exactly the same as the battle cry heard when Saladin's armies breach the walls of Jerusalem in
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Heaven_%28film%29) Kingdom of Heaven (it occurs exactly at the moment when Saladin's infantry starts running towards the newly-created fissure in the city's walls).
When me and my cousin were watching the movie a few years ago, as soon as he heard it, he did a knowing ":eek:" grimace and then quipped:
"Dammit, it's that sound effect from
Stronghold ! :D"

P.S. Speaking of
Stronghold, that game (and its
Crusader follow-up) has a really extensive and impressive set of sound effects, all very life-like. The music was pretty excellent and atmospheric too.

That one does. It's quite short. :)
I only know gorrillavid and daclips in that list and I've only ever found videos added by cleo to be really free.

On a local classic rock station I listen to on the way to and from work they do a segment called The Vault with "Downstairs Dan", and they open the "vault door" at the start of the segment with one of the heavy door opening sound clips that Dark Project used.
