There are a few different places to enter the sewers. I recall one that was inside a small building, but I can't remember exactly where.

Actually, having the "guy in black" as an ally the whole time helps alot, he was instrumental in taking out lorgans bodygaurd... but i've found a bug where cudget won't arive at N.Gate until the guy in black is dead or Unconscious. One time, i had to B/J cudget because he was walking around in a circle. I was able to get out of town by throwing him at the N.Gate switch, then carrying him out
(of course, the mission didn't end cuz Cudget was U/C... dammit!)

I wish I had known that Cudget would take out the bodyguard--he gave me problems. Or do you mean the guy in the cell? Mine died quickly. I didn't think Cudget would start his trip to the north gate till Lorgan was dead. I replayed the ending several times with different scenarios. The first time the gate was open but I preceeded him through and it wouldn't end; then I followed and it did. When I followed him up, we discussed how to throw the switch and then I could hear him walking all the way up to it and down again. Another time he started up to the switch and then it was quiet. I waited and finally went up to see what happened. He was standing there and threw the switch when I arrived. Great fun checking out all the possibilities.:)

I started to play some of the old Thief 1 FMs and I was attracted by Lorgan's Web. However at a certain point, I either am stuck or I missed something. What's the whole deal about Lorgan? I met him in the tavern in the east wing of the city and he was accompanied by a large, dark troll-like guy. Afterwards, I went North and came upon a large house (house of pleasure?) where there was a lady on a balcoony whispering the name of Garret (nice trick, ey?) And when I came in, Lorgan was there. I killed him. And now I am confused - should I? :) The lady warned me that he was there. Now when I go North there are guards everywhere, on both East and West wing. When I read Garrett's diary, I remember he mentioned something about a guy who has burricks in his cellar and got a ladder at the back of his house, which should help get to Lord Wishkill's mansion.
Now what's the deal about Lorgan? Should he be killed? Please advise.

I think on expert, one of your objectives is to kill him. On the others though, it isn't. I don't think it matters if you do or not. So if you think he's scumbag, and deserves to die, then you've done the right thing:)

I played the level on 'Normal' not 'Expert' that's why I didn't have it as an objective. Actually I found this mission's walkthrough. It's on Shadowspawn's web page at (

I love walkthroughs, I'm lazy bones. :)
Thanks for the tips.

How do i activate the secret entrance into FishKill's mansion from the Hammer High Priest's study?
If this isn't how you get into Fishkill's mansion, how do you?
Nightwalker on 10/6/2002 at 00:26
The secret entrance isn't in the study, it's upstairs in the bedroom. Check the floor for a special tile. :)

Can you make the opposite way? I.e., from FishKill's Bedroom to the Priest's Studio?
Timing at the Iron Bar Gates is totally sucking !

Ok, that was wrongly phrased. I thought there was another passage straight to the Old Chapel.
