Having played all the FMs there are, I am going back over some that I noted as being excellent. So, I have just finished Lorgan's Web again and have to say, what a fantastic level it is. I loved every minute of it, found more things than before and am still well down on loot so there's more to go. This is perfect Thief FM style for me and this is definitely one of the very best around.
Big thanks to Shadowspawn :thumb:
(Mr Lorgan is floating away down the river at the moment...:ebil: )

Yep. An oldie, but a goodie.

I totally agree. Lorgan's Web is a classic. I'm looking forward to seeing Shadowspawn's new mission, whenever it's ready. :)

Well, I did get a little side tracked with the new work on motions we've been doing. But, even though "Lord Fishkill's Curse" will be slightly delayed, think of all the cool motions you'll see in it. (Wait until you see the drunk passing out on the bar stool and then fall to the floor).
I'm going through now, adding effects and conversations. Along the way I'm adding custom objects and AI as needed, dipping into Dedx as necessary. And of course, building my own custom stuff. (4 VERY new AI in this mission, at least.)
All the super special stuff (i.e. the Curse) has been worked out and debugged, it's solid. I'm trying to decide, for gameplay, if there are two more buildings I should open up.
Fortunately, there aren't alot of custom conversations in this one. I do need to get on the voice acting stuff. But at this point, I'm just going through and making sure everything is right. For those of you who have played Lorgan's Web, you will remember that I tried really hard to make everything hard to break, and everything was consistant. I've got to reach that level again.
Nightwalker, hopefully you'll be free for some beta-testing in about a month? (Wildly optimistic! :tsktsk: )

Anytime you're ready, Shadowspawn! You've got my e-mail address. :D

Nightwalker!! I am curious, are you a professional beta tester or what? Honestly, think about it for a minute. I'm curious....how many FM's big and small do you think you have been in some way involved in...beta testing or otherwise? I know you don't Drom, but that's not all of an FM. I'm constantly seeing references to you beta testing. How many do you think?

I've LONG ago lost track of how many I've tested. The first one was an unofficial open beta on the forum for The Thieves Area that Rugball did and that got me started. The first official one was Equilibrium, for Silent Sleep. I had so much fun, I just started volunteering and now a lot of people ask me before I can volunteer! I really enjoy doing it and it gives me a sense of contributing to the community, since I'm not creative enough to ever be even tempted to try Dromeding. :) Maybe someday, when I'm bored, I'll sit down and add them up.

This is a subject I've also been interested in. I wanted to post a thread asking everyone the FMs they've beta'ed for but figured I'd be the only one who cares.. It would still be neat though :D
You should add them up now :cheeky:

This is great news, Shadowspawn! I loved Lorgan's, it's still one of my all time favorites. I am so looking forward to playing your next fm, thank you for all your hard work. :thumb:

Being nice about the map? It was AWESOME!!! I played it for the first time a few weeks ago, and can I say it just ROCKED!!!
I had just played another map that was city-based, and I wasn't very impressed with it, but with the Web I was really pumped up again. Excellent job Shadowspawn!!!
