Shadowspawn, this probably belongs on the Editor's Guild, but since we're on the subject...
I've never even installed D1 so I haven't been able to look at Lorgan's Web... how did you make turning off lights inside lighten the streets as well? I'm figuring it involves teleporting in and out unrendered light objects or something like that.
And by the way, LW is my favorite T1G FM of all time! :o

yandros,
A little off topic, but I used modified "WindowShades". Apparently the script to run them is broken or flaky. I found some of them deactivated in the original "Assassins" mission. I worked on them alot, and modified them until they did what I wanted.
In T2, they're in the object hierarchy, but the script isn't there anymore. You can emulate them with (just let me check my gamesys....) an Animlight script and a TrapTexture script, and the normal WindowShade settings.
I keep them in my gamesys now all the time. I use them quite a bit...

Pardon my ignorance, but what does the TrapTexture script do and how do you use it with the T2 WindowShades?

I was inspired by this thread to replay "Lorgan's Web" but I can't remember how to get the final sequence with Cudget running amok with his blackjack in the guard station to occur. I first played on Expert and got the objective to simply take him with me through the North Gate. Then I played on Hard and got the same objective. Then I played on Normal and AGAIN got the same one. IIRC, the objective I want says something about meeting Cudget at the North Gate. Under what circumstances does that scenario happen?
Thanks.

Norman,
If you find Cudget and bring him back to the apartment BEFORE you go into Lord Fishkill's and get the treasure,
he'll wake up and tell you to meet him at North Gate later. Then he says he needs a bit of a lie down, and goes to sleep.
After you get the treasure (and kill Lorgan in Hard and Expert), he'll show up at North Gate. You may even run into him as he traverses the streets on his way there.
yandros,
In T2, under the WindowShades, remove any scripts and add TrapTexture and AnimLight. Check the box which says "Don't Inherit". It should basically work then, but you want to change the textures to whatever you are using.
If you want more info on WindowShades, email me, or we can take this up on the Editor's Forum. I think I have a small mission showing their usage, if you want it.

Ah, I see. The problem was that I was completing the objectives in the order given so as to minimize the amount of running around.
Thanks Shadowspawn!

In Narkus' shop, there's a scroll on the floor that says something about something special being upstairs for you. Where am I supposed to get in there? No stairs, no ladders, no entrance from the roof, and not even any openable windows. The buildings on either side can't be entered either.
Nightwalker on 14/3/2003 at 04:22
There's a ladder on the wall, beside the red banner, in the corner by the door to the street. :)

:o :weird: :nono:
*puts on dunce cap and sits in the corner*

Ok, I found that. I hadn't shut the door when I was looking around.
New dumb question -- the high priest mentions a secret lever in his bedroom. I've searched that room and I can't seem to find the lever, even though it's obvious where the secret door is. Help me ... please ...
