Check the floor tiles. :)

Thanks Nightwalker. I beat it.
I have to say, the most interesting part was dumping Cudget on the bed, then watching him wake up, and lay back down carefully. That must have been some damn careful scripting!

I just finished this FM and I've gotta say it's one of my favorites so far, great job. I always love the nice little touches like being able to look in the bathroom mirror and seeing an image of Garrett, and that portrait of what looked like Norm from Cheers in some tavern. :D Another little architectural detail I noticed was a section identical to another FM I've played (the name escapes me). Basically there's a spot with a well along the street, and stairs nearby where if you climb them and look out the window opening at the top you have a direct view of the well.

You might have recognized it from one of the OMs. This mission is based on one of them, Assassins, I think. There's also another mission or two that borrowed from the same mission, but Shadowspawn only used it as a starting point and built lots of original stuff, as well. I liked it a lot. :)

Shadowspawn, I'd love to see that mission. i actaully have several works in progress that will most likely never see the light of day, but was using an AnimLight script on windowshadesjust to turn the outside of the window light on and off. Ofcourse it doesn't change the texture, just light.

This is probably a stupid question or one that has been answered before, but anyway...
I've got to that place where
that Hammerite Mage is snoozing in the old Hammer temple, and I have picked the lock on the safe opposite, but the door doesn't open... :weird:. The latch on the lock is down, but nothing happens when I frob it. I'm assuming the gas arrows are inside, and I need them to get into the vault, damnit!
Any ideas? :/
SlyFoxx on 20/7/2003 at 11:51
Are you sure Garrett's just not blocking the door?
Nightwalker on 20/7/2003 at 12:53
I don't think you can pick that lock, though I'm not sure. I think you need to
use the Mage's key on the lock behind the door, then frob a book on the bookshelves to open the secret door.
I can't check this at the moment because my Thief Gold has just decided it doesn't want to work, but I think it's right.
edit: Got them running again, so I went and checked. I know what confused me. You said you picked the lock on the safe, but there isn't one in the room I'm referring to. You did mean
the lock behind the door, right?
If so, then the answer above is correct.

heh, I remember having to quit Lorgan's Web because of another bug. The dude that you had to rescue from the jail and carry home couldn't be dropped; which also means I couldn't interact with anything. And my last save was in this situation. Another several hours wasted and down the tubes.

^Just press the "drop" key (r by default) worked for me.
The prob I ran into in this FM was I couldn't find the last like 23 loot I needed to complete the game.
