LOL! We're getting confused here. :cheeky: That would be the one just up the street (S) from the jail/church, right? Then that's the second one I referred to , which has the gate lever at the end upstairs. In that case, I've never found anyway in but that one door. :)

Have completed all objectives except leaving by the North Gate. The large switch in the tower over the gate just makes a strange noise and does not move. Have given up trying to find what is needed to push the lever. Help!

That's not really a workaround, unless I had the ability to go back in time or had the ability to mind read when I played it. :erg:
Since that's a known bug, what you stated should be placed in the game's readme.

Drats! I accidentally blackjacked Cudget while he was walking through town to the North Gate. Put him back on the bed and I guess that wasn't enough.

joanie, try taking Cudget with you to the gate. Sometimes you just have to have him close enough to the gate for his presence to register and then you can open it yourself.

hehe, reminds me when i accidently Gas arrow'ed the bum in "Song of the Caverns", and then couldn't proceed, cuz ya need the map and key he has!
