You need to go back to where you hit the switch to open the gate and shoot a rope arrow through the window.

@ Brethren thanks for hosting.
@ Sneaky Jack, thanks for that finding about the workshop key. (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133145&p=2012712&viewfull=1#post2012712) Is good to know for everybody. Otherwise that key has its own story and I need to laugh :laff: . That's a really cursed key, the only key inherited from the original mission and it was linked to anywhere already from the keyring to some electicity etc. :D My last touch to this mission without any test was to make the other door openalble by it but forgot that its a use once key. This is a first reason to a update.
@ Everybody: forget the 3 early released Bathory missions. As Linda mentioned already those missions are well modified, improved not just in visuals but in the main storyline. Each mission in this campaign is connected to other and backwise, and through like a web. To understand the anyway complex story you must play the campaign from the Prologue to the Epilogue. There are 7 missions and briefings, but only 2 may remind of the old ones.
I forgot: I don't wanted to ask anybody for a translation because the readables database is pretty huge and claim a lot of work. But if somebody sets to it after all, let me know to wait and include in the update then.

I think I'm stuck. In the prologue I'm now in Bathory's bedroom, where your weapons automatically disappear, but I can't find anything - the book and chest are unfrobbable. I didn't find out what the switch did in the "basement", with the upside down chandelier. Where should I search first?
On a side note, I can already see this is a huge improvement - almost everything that I felt had to be changed when playing this mission before, is now different, and better. Everything looks stunning, and I'm especially fond of all the music.

It helps if you could see what you're doing. Right?
PotatoGuy on 1/9/2010 at 09:44
You like giving cryptic hints, don't you? ;)
Thanks, I'm on my way again. All my focus went to the book, not the appearing-to-be-useless thing next to it.
One question though: what was the purpose of that switch near the upside down chandelier?

One question though:
what was the purpose of that switch near the upside down chandelier? You mean the small wheel on the gargoyle? Years ago that place was a huge bathroom and ... Something like this :D .
