Okay, I feel stupid.
I'm in the castle area and can't find any way in for the life of me! HELP. THIS MUSIC IS CREEPIN' ME OUT MAN.
Great FM by the way- I love the "old horror movie" atmosphere in all your FMs- really unique, and the dark engine is perfect for it. :thumb:
Also, I got into the inn by shooting out the window also. I felt really clever afterwards and wanted to come online and flaunt my genius, but someone already beat me too it.

Look behind a particular bush.

This is a great mission Sensut but a great pity about the castle key. I've progressed too far to start right from the beginning again and my last non-quicksave was just above the castle area before dropping down into the water (you can also slow fall down the other side and get trapped though it's a nice mountain view :) Even from above the castle I could get not get back over that fence. I understand you've now blocked the route over the top but that's a nice route - a better way is to add another key on the castle side or a lever that can just be frobbed. It's a flaw that you need to get enough loot for the rose to highlight (from what I've read) but hard to see how to work that into the story (good atmospheric story by the way.) so impossible for the player to know. Never mind - I'll hopefully replay some time in the future. :)

Rastas, on the right side of the gendarmerie
is a window. You can shoot a rope arrow up on the antenna above and climb into the building. From there you can get to the actresses house and jump from another window to the workshop area.
Fidcal, there IS a key for the castlegates
on top of the balcony when you come out of the sewers near the castle area.
There also is a lever to open the citygates, in that same area.

You get that key later. Carry on doing other things that you can do. This mission is quite linear so you have to follow the script i am afraid.

Gloria: Thanks but that's the area I cannot reach from the other side. That's the way I went up there originally but then went over the fence and dropped into the water. Is the lever you mentioned reachable from the other side? I can only get to that big rusty iron portcullis thing from the other side.
Gloria: [EDIT] I should add that my last named game save is up high above the castle but on the other side of that wooden fence and no way back I can see.
Rastas: Sorry I missed your post b4 as I too had great trouble at that point. The 'antenna' referred to looks like a big hook hoist or something above a double window on the side of the gendarmie. The trouble is, there is lots of wooden beams around there and none of them will take a rope arrow. Fire at the antenna as everyone says and you are wasting your time unless you get lucky. The trick is that there is a small dark wood base to the antenna. It looks much like metal if gamma is not too high. Aim at that. I gave up on this mission at that point having spent a lot of time trying to proceed so it will be a shame if others have already given up as the mission is well worth continuing.

The roof was a wrong way and out of area. This part wasn't planned and not designed. I've blocked.
Take the key from the library right there and go to the sewers to proceed.
And the rose relic thing:
there is a point of no return and if you are out of loot, you can't come back from there to complete the mission.
I prevent you with this trick from this trouble.

I do not know it somewhere how is, but at us the tree roofs from tree it is prepared. And there are weaker old trees, which do not hold the rope. :D
Only the strong LIT WOODS can hold the rope.
Yes, I understand, I was suggesting that since it happened it was quite a nice alternative that could easily be left in just by providing a gate lever or second key on the other side to get back. :) Especially as
the message on the wall says the key is in the usual place but 'Forget it! We'll find another way in.' indicating there is another way without the key. If you did restore that over the balcony route though I would add an invisible barrier above that fence below on the right as you can jump over it with a slow potion and get trapped there. The wood I understand too - it is difficult in Thief when you want to use wood but don't want the player to climb (I'm using some similar wood in a Dark Mod mission I'm developing.) but that
antenna base looked dark (not 'lit') and part of the dark metal. I fired several arrows at that antenna and heard only ringing metal (alerting the guards and forcing a quickload each time.) Finally I got it but I think some would give up which is a shame. I know myself how hard it is in a complex mission to get everything perfect - virtually impossible.
Brilliant mission though with wonderful atmosphere :thumb: - I loved it and might just have another go (probably on Easy though so I get enough loot!)

More players mentioned this antenna thing, I did a fine tuning on it's base in the (

v.2 update.
Maybe a city mission the heaviest one to build, but to get everything perfect it's impossible - is true. :cheeky:
