Thanks again Ricebug. No door opened as your arrow shows. When I go back down the ladder to the pedestal I hear a door open or close depending on the sound you have associated to that door. Is the Bounds trigger a pressure device that works on my jumping on the pedestal or platform or is it somewhere else that I'm missing?

Bounds Triggers are notoriously unreliable, as my fellow Dromed-ers keep saying. If you cross one, it triggers the device, in this case, a door. However, if you leave the BT's area of influence and then re-enter it, the device will reverse. So, it sounds like you're walking around on that platform, opening and then closing the door.
Approach the pedestal and then dive into the water. Cross to the opposite end and return. I'll fix this in a future update. It never became an issue during beta.

How do you open the big metal door in mission 3 where I have killed 9 of 10 pirates.. I need to get to Foster..:confused:

-A-HA-HA-HA-HA! So I played the entire first mission without having noticed my sword in the box at the beginning! I figured it out when I returned there to find the diary to complete the first objective! Grabbed the sword, thought "aha, well, at least I'll have it for the next mission" HAHAHAHAHA!! BREAK!

I am stuck at a large metal gate/portcullis with stairs leading up behind it.
I have all objectives finished, just not sure how to get out? A hint please.
Also in the large room with "wood"? pillars and the lady looking out to the sea, there appears to be a secret door but no way I can find to open it. I have already hit levers to open other doors and have explored.

There's a button on the wall next to the gate.
Secret door: Check the North side of one of the pillars, low to the ground.
