You can find "The Workman's Hammer" on the workbench in the attic/barracks of the monastery. It can be thrown at wraiths to do some serious damage to them. IIRC, you need to hit one twice to kill it. Alternatively, you can sneak past them all and prepare a spell at the Mage's tower.

book describing a spell. I've
snuck back to the tower, but all I seem to be able to do is
1) light the brazier with a fire arrow and 2) drop the skull in the brazier. Nothing seems to happen after this. I no longer have the
Onyx Crown... and hope I don't need it, 'cause I have no recollection of discarding it and my oldest save doesn't contain it.
Any more hints for this lame thief? Thanks!

You can enter the basement of the mage's tower using the bottom button on the wall of the first floor. There's a book in there detailing the needed components for the spell.
Spell Component Locations:
Frog Egg - on a ledge near the pond and stream that flows into the chasm.
Skull - in the cell of the Hammerite torture room.
Rare pulsing light mushroom - On a ledge in the chasm.

What a wonderful campaign. Just discovered it recently and played it. I don't see this one getting mentioned in FM threads. Despite being short, I really enjoyed it. Atmospheric - especially the cabin, damn i wish i lived in a cabin like that hehe -, and some good readables too. My only complaint is some loots are difficult to find. I always got stuck at the end with the loot requirement not being checked causing me to backtrack many times, and frobbing every corner. it gets tedious sometimes.
