T2 Crashes after I frob an object... - by Blunt Force Trauma

I just reinstalled T2 and fixed the video and processor problems and it loads and plays the movies great. But when I go to grab loot or frob an object the game crashes to the desktop. I'm running XP sp2 and an Athlon 4400+ X2 with 4 gig of Ram, a BFG 7950 and the 91.47 drivers. I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find anything relating to my issue. Any help would be grealty appreciated. The only thing I have done was to update the vid driver, I'll try to roll-back to the last driver that worked.

Most CTD situations with XP are fixed by the dual-processor/hyper-threading workaround found in the tech FAQ. Older software like T2 see's XP's hyper-threading as multiple processors and can get confused.
Just to narrow things down: all frob actions cause a crash, not just loot pickup? Opening chests and doors? Picking up the butler's key? Picking up and dropping unconscious guards? Using the whistle in your inventory?
