Yay, finished it. Now for the Bathory missions.:D

I am absolutely stumped in Mission 4.
I've been everywhere I can go with the keys I have and my lockpicks. I've been up on the rooftops and onto the upper level walkway of the Darkthrone room and back down again, but am not able to go any farther. I simply can't find any of the keys I need to go on through the elemental doors and into the Darkthrone. I must have missed something obvious, but darned if I can figure it out. There isn't a soul left standing anywhere - although none of the guards were carrying keys anyway -- and I'm all out of ideas.
...edit...I got into the Darkthrone, and found the other way up to the roof, and another key, a red one. When I found that key I was overjoyed, thinking that FINALLY I could move on. But I still can't actually go anywhere. I can't pick up the talismans, I don't have the keys to the elemental rooms, and I can't get through the door that I assume leads to the crypt -- the new key doesn't work on that door as I had hoped it would.
So now what? I've been around and around so many times I'm getting dizzy!:p
Still further edit...after searching on the Dracula 4 thread, I think I must have a bug in my game. I think there is supposed to be a book on the lectern in the Throne room and a Water Key on the Throne. But neither of those things is there. What a shame. I was enjoying this so much. I hate to have to leave it unfinished after all this time. Oh well

It's not a bug, the book will be there
only after you left the amulet in the coffin. You dropped the amulet in to Dracula's coffin in the crypt? Follow step by step the Objectives and the New Objectives, this will help.

I can't get into the crypt. I've picked up four keys(for the key chain), but none of those work. I've been through every door except for the four elemental doors and the door I'm assuming goes to the crypt -- it's past the big carpeted hallway and down a small set of steps. I've been scouring the area for hours but haven't found anything new for a long time, no new keys, for example.

On the table in the library.

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgh! :tsktsk: :cheeky:
And unfortunately I had such a terrible slowdown after the crypt area that my game eventually crashed and now my saves won't load. I guess my laptop wasn't quite up to snuff. I've found that to be the case with most of the very best and longest FM's -- eventually my laptop can't keep up (though I just saw a laptop advertised with a Geforce 9500...could be what I need).
But what a great mission! I wish I could play the last part, but that will have to be a treat for later.

Fraser - are you playing Reloaded or the original releases?
I had a debilitating frame-rate problem with the original Darkthrone, but no problems at all with the Reloaded version.

No, not the video card is the problem, maybe the memory (RAM). Anno two people we worked on this mission, HgL and me, and everybody made his job, but first time when I've tested on my laptop, this mission crashed right when I entered the throne room what was not my area. Since then I can't run on my laptop, but we made on a FX 5XXXX card on regular PC's, where working fine until today. Sticky Fingers has right, I've tried later to let me make the effects lighter, but I have not made below at this. And this problem is valid for the upcoming Bathory pack :erg: . I'm so sorry for this problem, but an old thing does this if you want to make it modern :erg: . So don't worry, if you try later on a PC will work. :thumb:

Greatly enjoying this mission, but I'm a bit stuck. I'm in Part 3, and have the same problem as ShippO, who asked: how do i get the key for the inner court / left part of the castle where the main building is (as indicated on the map)? i went to the workshop which is at the lowest level of the south-eastern watchtower, however, i can't find any key there thanks for the help
Sensut answered: Find Stefan's evidence in the library, there is the key as well.
But I can't make any sense of this, because I don't know how to get into the library, without first getting through the locked gate to the outer court.:confused::confused:
