The coffin is in the basement crypt. You'll need the key for it which is worn by a guard that patrols through the room beyond the library.

I've checked all to guards I knocked out in and around the library. No keys on any of them :erm:

I do believe there was a key next to to the book, (been a while since I first got there) but that doesn't fit... I also found the secret, but no key there.
I do feel rather incompetent now :angel:

I'm confused - have you gotton into the crypt or not? If you have, then Drac's coffin is easy to find.
If not, I'm pretty sure NW is right

I've been in the crypt, but all doors are lcked. I have now found the master key, portfolio key and the throne room key. I thought the throne room was where the sign said dark throne, but obiously not.
No wonder you are confused, that's my middle name LOL

Don't focus on the closed doors, but look on the right for a hallway with a female ghost standing in it. Drac's coffin is in that hallway.

I finished the first mission and this is so great! But Thief crashes to desktop while loading the second mission every time. I've tried with and without EP, soundpack, ddfix, compatiblity mode but I just can't figure this out!:grr:

It's always worthwhile in these cases to check if you have a corrupted copy of the FM / series. Which version have you?
My "dracula_reloaded_brfv1.0" works perfectly & has Size on Disk of 265,318,400.
Thiefmissions.com reports "dracula_reloaded_v1.2" has Size on Disk of 267,579,192.
This is only one possibility, & hopefully someone more technical can give you further help.
