I could not enter the spider cave. got the key but no level. there is one level on top of the cache box but not frobale ? help please

dormicum, how do I poison Jonathan . is he the guy with the eye patch ? I highlight the beer, sauces but not working. obviously the lever will be frobable when I poison Jonathan, what about Quincy refer in the notebook? Part 4:
[spoiler]Dealt with the first 3 elemental things, got the key to the fire one, went to the crypts, saw the newly open door, got the red crypt key from the guard's belt, went into the main room that the spirit wanders through, can't open the doors/lock at all to continue. Which key opens that, or did I miss something?[/spoiler]

I may be totally incorrect, SORRY, but I remember that there was a button on the side of a "chest" or .....??? in the room the ghost wanders into.

newly opened crypt door, grab the red "crypt doors key" from the guard, and use it in the main room on the lock. Nothing works on the lock though. Worst case scenario I have to reload.
