On part 4 in the tombs, at what I think is the fire shrine door (it has pictures of what look like fire elementals on it), there's a box lock next to the door as opposed to locks that were on the other shrines.
What am I missing?

The shire box is inside, beside the doors outside is the door lock box. You can enter there only after finished the other shrine things and you'll have the Fire stone and shrine key. Then a door will be opened there and you can steal that door key from the guard inside.

Also, thank you for such a fantastic series of missions.

Houston, I have a problem.;)
I'm in mission four, the one where you start in an inn, with Gellert's new love interest.
I have taken my gear (and some additional stuff "liberated" from the inn), left the inn, seen what should be a murder scene (but everyone just stood there humming to oneself, including the victim's wife:cheeky:, but excluding the victim:ebil:), then went on to find the castle. I turned right at the T-intersection where there's an archer on some kind of wooden tower and came into some kind of valley. At the end of the valley there's a large iron gate and a small hut with a guard inside.
I'm stuck there. I cannot make the guard open the gate or even leave his hut, neither can I enter the hut. My old notes concerning the older non-campaign version of this mission tell me that I have to ascend some valley, and indeed there's an ascending ledge or path opposite the iron gate, with a wooden beam portruding somewhere near the top of the path.
However, no matter what I do, I cannot get onto this path. I have tried to jump and mantle at the lower end of the path, but can't mantle up. Using one of the crates from the place where the archer was did not change anything. I also attempted to climb onto the ledge on the other side, which begins at a lamp-post and extends towards the iron gate, but I can't jump across the chasm in between these two ledges. Shooting a rope arrow into the wooden beam on the legde opposite the gate did not work either.
How can I proceed?

There is a rock ledge, climb up with a running jump at the lower end then shoot a rope to the beam on the top of the ruined tower above.

I thought it would be like that, but what I did not expect was that the runnig jump does work only if I
aim for the center part of the ledge while facing the path on the legde edge-on. If I try to ascend near the corner of the ledge, Gellert won't mantle up, no matter what I do.Thanks for confirming that I at least had the right idea.
All right, then. Let's find this Dracula now and have a chat with him.;)

I have a big technical problem:
After finishing mission 1 (The love Thief) I want to start the next one. I see it loading, I can hear something that sounds like a key but than Thief 2 crashes. It shows me an error report "Thief 2 does not work and must be shut down".
I am using Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. My Thief uses ddfix, Widescreen and the ntex textures.
I tested it on the computer of my girlfriend. She also has Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. The same problem.
I installed Thief 2 on my Netbook (Win 7 Starter 32 Bit), only installed DDfix, and started your misison. It also crashes when I want to start mission 2.
I have tried all possible compatibility modes. No differences. I also tried Dracula Reloaded 1.2 but it has the same effect.
It´s really frustrating because I have played Dracula Reloaded 1.2 successfully on my PC on Win 7 Ultimate 32 Bit.
Any idea?

It's because of NVScripts, especially the NVkeyring in the inventory.
On Win7 x86 the XP compatibility change solves the problem but there was troubles on x64 recently.
