- pretty much before you get to
the haunted house you'll want to save up your fire arrows, mines and flashbombs Big spoiler
I was suprised how easily the Trickster went down, and how obvious the 'well hidden' scroll and key were. Fun enough a level. In the haunted mansion for some reason I was reminded of the movie "The legend of Hell House" - I kept waiting to come upon a lead lined crypt with a gimp in a wheelchair in it.
Hmm, that wouldn't be a bad idea for a fan level...
:laff: You really figured it out. This is the optimal way of playing it. Saving the weapons for Hell House, as yu call it, is the best way. Taking out the haunts with flashbombs. The Trickster will go down easily. He is not as powerful as people thinks. He is just noisy but has power to keep everyone inside that willfully enters his premesis.
I'm also glad that this mission is an inspiration to future mission. Go ahead, why wait, I'm looking forward to playing the mission you describe. :thumb:

...The Trickster will go down easily....
That's so true. I was very surprised, when he fell down because of a single frogbeast-explosion :wot: :cheeky:

For laughs I went back to test something - I took him down with a single broadhead.
He's also vulnerable to gas while his lackies are not... Which oddly enough SOUNDS like most people of 'power' - their real strength come from the blind minions who follow, as they themselves are, well... usually wussies.

Thank you so much, Brynolf!
I went back and now the gate is open. I must admit I hated to go back to that creepy place........:cheeky:

:laff: Yeah, I know what you mean. Even I hated it. Great that you finally got the gate opened.

1. It's very strange that the gates didn't open
after trying explosive charge. Only explosive charge will open the gates. Mines and fire arrows will not have the same effect. Did you put the explosive charge close enough?...
Above all, thanks for your answer. :)
Yes I did. I've tried this three attempts: I put it on the floor near the gate: in the center, on the left and on the right. I've caused the explosion by using a fire arrow. Was it the right way?

Man, I have no idea why it's not working for you. I am bewildered. You are doing it the correct way. No one else have had any problems with it.
I really don't know what to do? Could you post a screen shot that shows how you have placed the explosive charge?
You could also email me a savefile, and I would bring it up here and get through the gates and then email it back to you. I don't know, I'm just trying to come up with a way to help.

Re: The Evil Mansion
This is how I made it through the mansion:
I used the frogbeast eggs to kill the first zombie. A couple fire arrows take out the skeleton. You can sneak up behind the crypt area ghost & the thief and hit them with an overhead sword whack. That also works for the haunt with the key to the lower level. I also used an overhead sword strike and one more hit to take out the big headed skeleton thing in the lower level hall. When I reached the Trickster's room, I threw down my second starburst device. Once all the baddies gathered around, I hit the starburst with a fire arrow & took them all out at once. To get back out, I had several fire arrows & flash bombs for distraction to help me make it out of the gate.
