I'm close to finishing this now, but still have my glitch. Here is what I still have not done.
Jones room is still locked thanks to wilson being stuck.
I can't open the door next to theirs where I believe Charity is. I can only assume the key to this is in Jones room. Else, I'm at a loss for this one.
From what I understand, once I get the Charity objective checked, the 2nd coin will appear.
I did finally get the 2nd diary/painting from Razzle. There is a problem where I cannot see under the desk, so I never knew the switch was there. Also, the safe key on the wardrobe is next to impossible to see. If I didn't read it here, I'd never had known.
The lounge with the secret above the door, I actually picked open the safe without tripping the secret. Then tripped the secret afterwards.
So my big thing right now is getting the room open next to Wilson's and finding Charity. If the key is in Wilson's, I need to get a working dromed to get it open.
At the present moment, I'm 4 hours into the mission.
I actually think this mission is great, short of this flaw. I didn't mean to offend you by my comments, but I was a bit angry. So if I run into flaws like this, maybe you can consider me for beta testing. I've been helping Immortal with his new mission and found a few flaws already, which he's looking to correct.
Anyway, let me know if I need to get dromed working, or I can finish this without Wilson's door being open.
Thanks.

It is probably because you didn't install dromed directly into your thief folder.

Ok, I got my dromed up and running. I have no idea how to use it though. If I want to choose a specific saved game, how would I go about doing it? What folder would I be looking in? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

First use the normal Thief2 program to save your game into the quicksave slot and make sure the last normal slot doesn't contain an essential save.
Now quit the game and fire up Dromed. To load your savegame click into the empty box in the lower right corner of the window (the console). Enter edit_load_game saves\quick.sav now click again into the console and enter find_obj 553 and once more click into the console and enter cam_to_brush. Now use the mouse to move the guard off of the table by holding the SHIFT key while draging the mouse in the window named "top". Move the white rectangle (the guard) to the right and far enough out of the bigger red rectangle (the table). When he's placed far enough from the table, once again click into the console and enter edit_save_game saves\game0014.sav. You can test if he's far enough from the table by entering game mode with ALT-G. To quit game mode use ALT-E.
When done, quit Dromed, restart Thief2, load the game "From Editor" and cross your fingers that this guy doesn't start climbing tables again.
Hope that helps.

Let's see if this works. I got an error, but hit cancel and I think I'm in. Hopefully I can fix this. :)
Ok, I moved him. It was funny because he still didn't come out. I then moved him out in the hall, and he went back in his room and didn't come out. So instead of letting him enter and lock the door, I immediately blackjacked him. I had only about 5 minutes left to finish the mission after all this.
I can honestly say that dromed is confusing. I have no idea how you guys do it. I sort of remember a few years ago trying to create my own little mission. I remember making a few rooms with a guard. Not much, but I didn't think it was that easy, let alone putting in all these crazy features with secrets.
Hey sinister, how did you know he was object 553? I couldn't seem to move out of the area. Is there a way to scroll along the edge to move the area?
Anyway, I finished it. I don't think I'll be doing my own mission any time soon. :)

Hi guys, long time no see. Hope you're all well and happy. This is a fantastic fm but ... the first attempt was 4 hours before I found I couldn't find Sergeant Whatever with his key. Well worth running to the local library for answers before starting again and then I got to the crypt and found the sarcophogus wouldn't open.
Have had some pc problems recently so, I repatched my thief, downloaded the scripts again (from the FAQ) - it all looks gobbledegook to me in notepad so can't tell if the TrapTimed de dah de dah bit is there or not. My question. Any guarantees at all that this time it will all work now because I would love to finish but the thought of going hours again just to find the darn thing still won't open is almost too distressing to think about? Or maybe there's something else I could do as well? I have full time internet access again so will be eagerly waiting any replies :D :D
Nightwalker, I have a second question which I've pm'd you about.

There is no way to guarantee that this stupid guy doesn't end up on the table again. Until The_Dude updates the mission, you're going to need some luck. If that fella is doing the climb again, your only chance is to try the Dromed approach mentioned a few posts above.
And about that Gen.osm, just open it in Notepad, press CTRL-F and type TrapTimedRelay into the form, then press enter. If you've got a working copy, notepad should have marked the string for you and everything is fine. If notepad did not find the script name, a message box will open and say that there is no such string. In that case, fetch yourself a copy from the DarkLoader page on thiefmissions.com and put it into your Thief2 folder.

I have updated the mission so he shouldn't get stuck anymore but I have nowhere to host it. :( Woe is me!
You don't miss what you've got until it's gone.
Anyway if he does get stuck again it is very easy to edit a savegame.

You could start by sending it to (
http://www.rapidshare.com) rapidshare. Maybe someone with enough free webspace could put it on his page then.
