Thanks SinisterShadow, I had no problems with guards on tables, just not appearing at all. Anyway I found the string (didn't occur to me to 'find' it doh!) - and it has the TrapTimedRelay but so did my last copy. So don't think that's the problem.
I'll have to wait for getting broadband (pay-as-you go keeps cutting out) next week for downloading Dromed but doubt I've got the brains to figure it all out easy though it might be. Still would be fun to have a go. The_Dude - I'll be back for your instructions anon.
Thanks for help and advice and thanks too Nightwalker, glad to know that's OK too.

Well, exactly that's the problem here. This guy accidently climbed the desk in his own room and doesn't know how to get back on the floor now and that's the reason why he doesn't show up.
rustmite found out, that this guy came out after a long time (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1541372&highlight=blackjack#post1541372) hitting the door with the blackjack. I guess he accidently fell off of the table after a while. But that could take hours to happen.
In this case TrapTimedRelay has nothing to do with it, it's a simple engine bug.
You could always ask for help on installing and working with Dromed in (

Ha Ha. I hadn't realised, I sometimes get stuck on tables too! Sorry, didn't mean to be confusing, just thought the TTR script suggestion was for the non-opening sarcophagus. Thanks for your help and also suggestion re: Dromed.

I just finished this after many hours of play. There are so many things to do...
The Robot - who made me jump out of my SKIN!!
Spawning Hammerties - who caught me off guard after finding rooms and other items for my quest.
A non-keyable/locked CHEST - that needed a tug from a short chain-link near by. (totally missed the obvious)
Plenty of keys and buttons.. especially for member bdkl - ahaha!
I got lost finding them all...
Excellent, Well balanced FM..immersive and draws you in as the story continues...
I really liked the effect of how the lanterns dropped while assaulting guards on patrol! Thunk!
Thanks to The_Dude for the amazing experience. Its one of the best ive ever played.
The "snuff" pouch is hilarious! hahaha.. I wondered how many i would find:wot:

High praise indeed... thank you.
It's still a little rough in my view and needs some improvement. One day I might get around to it.

oh, by the way,
the story of the infant really surprised me, and the rest....
It really made the hammers look like :ebil: - fanatics. I almost fell off the area i was in when I discovered the clues. WoW! shocking..... It was all purely enhanced suspense mode along this point.
I never had more fun with blackjacking... ha ha
The objects and creativity that went into this was worth the effort- further increasing the intrigue and difficulty for the player, as many others stated. I constantly kept finding something new, throughout.
Its a must play for everyone. Don't be fooled by its 04' release date.
How do I get into stuff in the center of the library?
There's a secret exit
in Sister Sledge's room. How do I get into that secret? What room is it in?
I need at least one monkey head. Is there a list of monkey head locations?
I was going to ask
"Where is the key to Mainwaring's wardrobe?"
...but I finally found it.
It's in one of his boots.
Nice mission... loaded with secrets!
Is there a thread that lists the missions with the most switches and secrets? This one has to be near the top.
The_Dude on 7/11/2007 at 13:28
So many questions.... :)
The library secret:
just mantle up to get both in and out
Monkey heads:
in grave, larder, outside on stake and on dinner plate in secret in main crypt area.
Yeh I'm a bit obsessed with secrets aren't I. Didn't Cryptic Cravings (my "back to basics" contest submission) have 20 secrets. That was just silly. :tsktsk:

I know how to get into
the hole in the library.
What I don't know is how to open the chest and tiny door. Somehow, I'm very late into the game with almost all doors open and I still don't have the key for these two things.
I never did get the key to Mainwaring's wardrobe. I bashed it open. Maybe that's the key I needed.
If ever a mission needed a dedicated key key, this is it. It would be so nice to get to your keys just by pressing "K" on the keyboard. Maybe anothe key devoted to Objects like masks candles and monkey heads. (That's all they needed to change for Thief 3)
Another question -
After putting the second coin in the offering plate what does the voiceover say?

Isn't it on top of the wardrobe under the hat?
