I see. I still had to look it up because I couldn't figure out what the effect of activating
the book was.
Moving on...
For anyone else still puzzled by
the little door and little chest in the library...
(Eliminate the following one at a time.)
The book moves something silently.

It moves something in the library.

It's very similar to other things you've moved.

No. It's not on the ceiling.

It's not on a wall.

It's not in the corner.

It's not in the hall.

But if you look.

On the floor below.

You'll see it's the mat.

That the book has moved for you.
To move that pesky banner in the barracks look for...
Two rooms with four bunk beds. It's the room on the north side of the hallway.

The bed you're looking for is in the northeast corner.

The switch is on the bottom. It faces the north wall.
There's nothing
in this secret. I'd already pinched the two wall hanging gems by using rope arrows on the balcony. I thought the offering plates on the floor of the balcony would take something, but I guess not.
What are the flowers for?
Edit: Nevermind. I searched.
It's for the vase in the graveyard and it yields a monkey head.
I love these secrets, but some of them could use more memorable scrolls. I'd totally forgotten about
the vase by the time I had the flowers.
Getting the balance right between the cryptic and the mundane is always problematic. I hope that the main features of the FM are logical.
This FM needs a serious overhaul which I might get around to someday.

I'm missing the second coin still. I know where it has to show up, but it still isn't there
in the first room of the belltower).
Furthermore I have an "outch, that must hurt" key and no place to put it.
I have 22 keys, still didn't find Capt. Mainwaring's key and I can't open the two locks in the centre of the library.
I saw the child running, but I never found her ...
... and I also need the key to the three doors in the cellar.
Please help?
I'm struggling to remember ..... and I really need you to tell me what you have achieved before I can help but....
The three doors in the "cellar" have to be bashed open with for example the hammer that is located there.
Captain Mainwaring only appears after you find four objects: two diaries, the robot head and the painting. They are located in the secret rooms of Brother Sinclair and Brother Razzle.
The library secret is opened with the key under the mat. Look for a "book" lever/ switch.
Thanks, the Dude, That's is enough to keep me on track, I hope ...

... Yet again, another question.
If got all objectives now, except finding Clarice.
Still no coin in the bowl.
Where do I find Clarice then?
Gloria Creep
The_Dude on 4/1/2008 at 09:25
I've no idea who Clarice is?
Charity is in the "cellar" area in the room directly ahead of you as you walk in the room.
Regarding the coin, have you got Razzle's secret diary and painting and Sinclair's secret diary and robot head?
You need all four to proceed.

:cheeky: I must've confused this mission with "Silence of the Lambs" :ebil:
Yes I got all of the stuff I need. All objectives are ticked off, just finding Charity .....
I'll look again in that area, but I just found some dead people in the cellar and two guards, guarding them.
The Dude, thanks again for coming to my rescue.
Did I ever tell you how BEAUTIFUL, GREAT and ANNOYING :ebil: This FM is?
It's a masterpiece. Everytime I play it (this is the second time) I almost forgot all there is to find and it becomes a whole new mission. :thumb:
I'll always be greatfull for it!
Gloria Creep
OK. I found her ..... I just forgot to pick her up.
I'm now just wondering what's behind that "opened" cross?!
I got 16 out of 17 secrets and lost some loot, but I'm happy now.

High praise indeed. Thank you.
I do have plans to update this some time. I did plan to do a part 2 but now I'm planning on just making one large FM.
There is a secret's list on thiefmissions or in the zip.
